AF Partners with KMGL to Reward Teachers!
American Fidelity and Magic 104.1 KMGL in Oklahoma City are working together to honor deserving teachers! Students, parents, co-workers and friends can nominate a teacher they think deserves to be recognized during the school year. Then, AF Colleagues vote for each month’s winner. When voting, Colleagues can include their name for a chance to record the radio spot recognizing the winning teacher.
This year, winners earn $500 from AF to help them continue to make a difference for their students. KMGL and AF surprise the teacher at their school and a radio spot runs throughout the month recognizing them.
For more than a decade, AF and Magic 104.1 KMGL have honored local teachers for making a difference in their classrooms.
A nomination from a previous winner showcases the passion and dedication teachers have for their students and profession:
“As a teacher at an alternative school, she works with students facing incredible challenges, yet she never stops believing in them. Her classroom provides a safe space where students feel valued, supported and motivated to succeed. I know this firsthand because I was once a student in her class, struggling with homelessness and convinced I wouldn’t graduate. Through her motivation, encouragement and unwavering believe in me, I not only graduated high school, I am now about to graduate college. Like many teachers, she often spends her own money on classroom supplies, resources and anything else to create a better learning environment. A little extra money would not only recognize her sacrifices but also support the incredible work she does for students. She gives everything to her students and it’s time she receives a little extra in return.”
