Shannon Cox, I'm the superintendent here at the Montgomery County Educational Service Center.
When we partnered with American Fidelity, it allowed our executive staff to have the time that we need to do our day jobs, to do the things that we've been trained to do that we're subject matter experts in, and it allowed the flexibility then of the partnership and not just I'm turning something over to somebody and I might get a report at the end of the process.
Our job as an ESC is to be that support backbone structure to make certain that all of our districts who align with us have the support and the resources that they need in order to serve the students that they have in their districts. When we made the decision to partner with American Fidelity, it was really to make certain that our own staff had the space that they needed to be able to do their day jobs. 'Cause we were spending a lot of time chasing down paperwork and making certain that we were holding, you know, 4,000 different meetings to make sure that our staff members had the quality information that they needed.
We made a decision to partner with American Fidelity to make sure that we could bring in subject matter experts who cared about the human value of what we had to offer and really then utilize that service to make certain that our staff was well educated on what their options were, what the benefits were, how it played a part in their own personal life, and who had the time, the actual time to dedicate, to meet with each one of our employees to make sure that they felt like there was that one-on-one connection with somebody who really cared about them. As our partnership has evolved, we have recognized and totally appreciate the fact that when you come to us with advice or just even offerings of services, it's always gonna come with an educational lens. We're in the education business, it's who we are, it's what we do, and you guys are there to help us be better.
