So, I'm Patricia Sheffer, I'm superintendent of Union County Schools. This is my 11th year as superintendent, here in Union County.
It's critical to me as a superintendent that I know all of my people are taken care of. We don't want to have some benefits and insurance company that we have to work with where we feel like we have to do the job. I don't wanna have to do someone else's job, and call around and find out what benefits work, what don't. And is this something that I can claim. So, it's important to me that my people have an easy system to file claims. Even during the day, you know, our teachers have limited time. They're the one planning a period a day, and they don't wanna take up that entire planning period, dealing with an insurance issue or benefits packaged.
In Union County, I think the biggest thing that excites me about American Fidelity, our partnership is the fact that all of the things in the background is taken care of because American Fidelity is there. So, I see them as part of our HR, they're part of our finance department, not an extension of our team, I think they're part of our team. And they provide so much more than just beneficial packages as far as insurance and your retirement. But they're taking care of all that for our staff so we can focus on our job of educating our students.
It's the same, no matter what, when you work with an American Fidelity employee, it's always about a caring culture, and quality customer service. Your questions are answered within 24 hours, your needs are met immediately, and American Fidelity helps us remove obstacles and barriers for student achievement. And so, we always ask every question, our board if you're gonna go with a company, how's this gonna affect? What's the outcome gonna be for our students? And the outcome's gonna be a positive outcome when you're with American Fidelity, because they're gonna remove obstacles and barriers that might impede the learning and continuous growth of your district. And that's what we're all about, is continuous growth.
I think, if you're considering a company, American Fidelity would be the first I would consider, because of the quality customer service. And I think they operate from the same core values we operate from. As far as trust, honesty, ethics, strong work ethics, you can get a hold of someone 24/7, it's not an answer machine. And as a superintendent, it's like you're the mother of the district. And the last thing you wanna worry about is, are all your people being taken care of or not? I know with American Fidelity, my people are being taken care of.
