American Fidelity's followed me wherever I've gone. Really not knowing much about how to be a superintendent, I had to find people who were willing to help me. Our staff just didn't know what they didn't know. And I certainly didn't either. So when you can reach out to real professionals who know how to help, now that's a real partner.

And so our focus became on how do we improve opportunities for our staff to save money, to have appropriate policies to improve our long-term disability plan. We're paying an exorbitant amount for that. And American Fidelity came in and really helped us figure out a way to save money for our staff. And in the end, we were able to offer a better benefit by paying more for health insurance. It is a stress relief as the leader of the district of 3,000 employees to know that they'll be taken care of.

And I mean, until you're in that chair as a superintendent, you really don't know what it's like. You just don't. It's unique.
