Jared Cleveland: American Fidelity's followed me wherever I've gone. Really not knowing much about how to be a superintendent. I had to find people who were willing to help me. Our staff just didn't know what they didn't know, and I certainly didn't either. So when you can reach out to real professionals who know how to help, now that's a real partner. And our comptroller, who's now the deputy, Mr. Kelly Hayes, he understood that we had some issues, but we didn't know if we had the traction to make any kind of changes.

Kelly Hayes: It was an opportunity to reevaluate everything, how we were doing things. And our superintendent had had previous experience with American Fidelity, and felt very comfortable with American Fidelity. They know all those ins and outs of our employees, and how we are staffed and how it works.

Jared Cleveland: It is a stress relief, as the leader of the district of 3,000 employees to know that they'll be taken care of. The attributes that the American Fidelity offer, meaning personal service, critical care, personal care for each person. I would say, if you need some of that stress relief, considering all of the negative impacts that we deal with every day. And, to tell you're in that chair as a superintendent, you really don't know what it's like. I mean, you just don't. It's unique. If there are people out there willing to help you, and your employees have the opportunity to save money, and have a better benefit package and personalized care, I think it would be smart to check into that.

Kelly Hayes: I think one of the most important things is relationships and being able to rely and trust the company that you're working with. We know that they have lots of experience in this arena, and we just felt like it was the right thing to do.

Jared Cleveland: They're very caring and compassionate. And I think that's the secret sauce really of American Fidelity. It's the people that work there and believe in the mission. That's a big deal. And that personalized service is what we all need. And quite frankly, it's something that is missing in the world today.
