The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced annual inflation adjustments for Healthcare Flexible Spending Accounts (HCFSA) and Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Accounts (LPFSA). These increases are effective for plan years beginning January 1, 2025 and later.


HCFSA and LPFSA:

2024 Contribution Max 2025 Contribution Max
$3,200 $3,300

 

HCFSA and LPFSA:

2024 Carryover Max 2025 Carryover Max
$640 $660

 

DCA

For Dependent Care Accounts (DCA), annual limits will remain $5,000 for single taxpayers and married couples filing jointly, or $2,500 for married people filing separately.


HSA:

As a reminder, below are the Health Savings Account (HSA) contribution limits, along with the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) requirements announced earlier this year.

Family Coverage $8,300 $8,550
