Help Your Students
The AF Teacher Fellowship program gives STEM teachers the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a corporate IT setting and network with other educators to gain knowledge and skills they can then take back to their classrooms to help students prepare for technology-based careers.
The fellowship provides teachers an opportunity to spend the summer with a corporate technology team learning about software development, enterprise information management or technical infrastructure projects.
AF Teacher Fellowship Application

The AF Teacher Fellows will earn $30 per hour for the time they work over the course of the program. Schedules will be flexible to accommodate differing school summer schedules, required professional development days, etc. This flexibility includes up to two unpaid weeks off. AF Teacher Fellows will also receive a $2,000 stipend to use for their classroom upon completion of the program.

Program Objectives
- STEM Teachers experience an immersive environment in a corporate IT division.
- Fellows develop professional learning networks to include both STEM Teacher Fellows and AF IT Colleagues.
- Fellows create a personalized learning pathway to connect AF learning resources to classroom application.
What will I be doing?
You will meet with various IT division Colleagues to understand their duties and workforce needs. Additionally, there will be online professional development, operational tasks and a group project with other fellows.
What is the schedule?
The fellowship runs Monday - Friday from June 1-July 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a mix of virtual and in-person activities. In person dates include:
- June 1-5
- June 22-26
- July 20-24
Travel expenses are covered during the onsite weeks for anyone who is not within commuting distance.
