American Fidelity Assurance Company supports Oklahoma and all teachers nationally.
American Fidelity supports all educators and agrees that education is vital to our future. Investing in education should be a top priority. Teachers are critical to our continual journey to improve education not only for Oklahoma but nationally and it is important that teacher pay and educational resources be addressed so that we can retain our valuable educators.
American Fidelity has historically supported education in Oklahoma and around the nation. Locally, we partner with various organizations in support of bettering education. From the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Oklahoma Education Association to KFOR, KMGL Magic 104 and various public school foundations, we partner to provide many educational programs. Our support includes the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Literacy efforts through our Read to Achieve sponsorship which includes the Rolling Thunder Book Bus – this program has provided more than 150,000 books to Oklahoma students; Reading Time Outs – Players and Rumble visit schools to discuss the importance of reading; and the Thunder Reading Challenge Classroom program - encourages students to develop reading habits and a love of reading. We also honor educators through our Thunder Teacher of the Game promotion and with KMGL we sponsor the weekly Teacher Feature and Teacher of the Year program which honors teachers for their dedication and provides money for resources for their classrooms. Through KFOR’s Weatherschool, our partnership takes education about Oklahoma’s weather to the classroom. American Fidelity also partners with Oklahoma City school, Buchanan Elementary, to provide dozens of tutors for students each week, schools supplies, guest readers and other volunteer work as the school needs.
